A little about me & my style
Hey, friend! My name is Ariella, and I created hABit consulting because I believe that having a successful fitness journey starts with balance, and creating sustainable hABits is the foundation to that success. I believe that we can maximize your benefits of fueling your body correctly and also training your body correctly, by working together to pinpoint obstacles that are bound to derail your progress & overcome them together.
I believe we deserve more grace than we are used to, and this takes time to understand. Listening to our bodily cues is super important when it comes to respecting and loving your body. I believe that this is the foundation of true change, and through patience and consistency, we can achieve that together.
We all know that it takes time to build hABits, and building upon each habit can create a big impact with lasting change. I tell my clients that they are in the driver's seat of their own journey. I am the passenger seat navigation: I tell you which direction we are headed based on where YOU are physically and mentally.
We focus on building daily hABits that can be progressed or regressed depending on how much mental capacity you have to give that day. We work together to find out what is working, what’s not, and how to overcome obstacles together. We try connecting the dots to understand how to learn from those obstacles to make progress.
My clients understand that we always focus on progress, not perfection. Life is not perfect, and holding ourselves to that standard will obviously set us up for frustration. Instead, I believe that by teaching my clients sustainable hABits. I want them to understand when to push a little more or to let off the gas and rest. It is my overall goal for them to understand that it is what you do consistently over time that matters. This is why we break it down to one step at a time.
By building habits and owning the good, bad, and the ugly, we can allow ourselves to find true freedom through those choices we make daily. Through those choices we find balance, and THAT is where we find happiness and self love. That is something no one can take away from you, and that is something I want to be a part of.
What I Do
I am so grateful to have a small part in my clients' journey. I'd be honored to be a part of your journey, in whatever capacity you let me.
It doesn't matter how able or limited you are, our bodies were made to move. Movement may need to be modified or taken up a notch depending on where you are in your fitness journey, but I will be there with you every step of the way. I believe in educating my clients to allow them to own their movement with intention & focus on every rep.
I focus on progressive overload type training. This training style focuses on hitting the same movements week by week to make progress each day. When you do similar movements, you are able to learn what you did well, and what you can improve on. Over time, we can make some pretty amazing progress either by increased weight, increased mind / muscle connection, tempo, or range of motion. You and I work together based on your goals, abilities, equipment available at home or the gym. The personalization continues until the plan is built around YOU. The duration and frequency of the workouts will depend on what you tell me your availability is, and how much time you have.
Our bodies were made to move, so let's learn how to move properly & get the most out of our valuable time spent. All of my programs will emphasize quality over quantity.
